Ringing Badgers Handbell Ensemble
Saturday, January 4, 2025; 3:00 pm (Doors open at 2:30 pm)

     Ring in the new year – literally – with a stunning one-hour performance by the Ringing Badgers Handbell Ensemble of Madison, Wisconsin. Directed by Dr. Mark Bloedow, the group will present its annual Sounds of the Season!, featuring a colorful selection of beloved traditional Christmas carols and songs. The Ratskeller Restaurant will be open immediately following the concert; reservations suggested: (608) 325-3461.


Swiss Movie Night - A Bell for Ursli
Friday, March 21, 2025; 7:00 pm (Doors open at 6:30 pm)

     If you loved last year's showing of Heidi (2015), here is another outstanding Swiss film based on a well-known Swiss children's book published in 1945, Schellen-Ursli. Also released in 2015 and directed by well-known Swiss filmmaker, Xavier Koller, the film has been dubbed into English appearing under the titles Little Mountain Boy and Call of the Wilderness. Like Heidi, A Bell for Ursli was filmed mainly in the Swiss canton of Graubünden in the Engadin region. Comparable to a G rating; 1 hour 45 minutes; in English. The World Famous Glenn Miller Orchestra - In Concert

     For the forth time since 2018, the phenomenal Glenn Miller Orchestra will take you back to the time in Turner Hall's history when it was the place for non-stop dancing!

     Turner Hall's Ratskeller Restaurant will be open starting at 4:30 pm, and we encourage you to make it a complete evening by enjoying a delicious meal before the concert. RESERVATIONS STRONGLY ADVISED; please call (608) 325-3461. A buffet will be available in addition to a special event menu.


Swiss National Day Buffet Dinner Event
Friday, August 1, 2025; 5:30 pm Social Time / 6 pm Dinner / 7 pm Short Program
Grand Hall; $25/person
includes a buffet meal, tax, tip, and Swiss entertainment!

     Commemorating the declaration of Switzerland's independence in 1291, join us for a relaxing evening with authentic Swiss food and music by the Monroe Swiss Singers, including alphorns, accordion, Swiss flag-throwing and more! The buffet meal includes Turner Hall's Raclette Station, Garden Fresh Salad Bar, Dinner Rolls, French Onion Soup, Kalberwurst, Aelplermagronen, Swiss Green Beans, & Coffee/Iced Tea.

Monroe Swiss Singers' 57th Swissfest

     A longtime Monroe tradition, this program features an afternoon of Green County's finest Swiss folk choirs and performers. Adding to the authentic experience, the Ratskeller Restaurant will be open following the program for more Swiss culture!


Christkindlmarkt - Old World Holiday Shopping Market
Friday - Saturday, November 28-29, 2025; 9 am - 4 pm
Grand Hall; Free admission

     A German tradition dating back to the 14th century, the Christkindlmarkt features unique items from hand-selected quality vendors for your holiday gift-giving. A European café and Swiss baked goods round out this special shopping experience, along with scheduled visits from Swiss Samichlaus and his bad-behavior consultant, Schmutzli.


Alpine Carol Sing and Candle Tree Lighting
Friday, December 5, 2025; 7:00 pm
Grand Hall; Free-will donation

      A very special traditional Alpine event at which you can help light 100 candles on a freshly-cut evergreen Christmas tree! Informal singing of carols and holiday treats, and a visit from Swiss Samichlaus and his bad-behavior consultant, Schmutzli. NOTE: Although this is a family event, it is advised that it may not be suitable for very young or fearful children!


Deutscher Weihnachtsgottesdienst (German Christmas Communion Service)
Sunday, December 14, 2025; 2:00 pm
St. John's United Church of Christ; Monroe, WI. Free-will offering.

      A truly touching Christmas experience for the soul. An outreach of the congregation of St. John's UCC, the service is conducted entirely in German (English translation available) by members of the Monroe Swiss Singers.


Old Year's Night Celebration
Wednesday, December 31, 2025; Dance, 1 - 5 pm; Grand Hall
     Celebrate the Old Year with Barefoot Becky and the Ivanhoe Dutchmen! Admission, TBA.
